Tasting Notes
Tasters describe the 1982 Kawasaki Sherry Butt Cask 7411 as an exceptional whisky with significant depth and complexity, featuring strong sherry influence and a surprisingly well-integrated high alcohol content (65.3% ABV).
- Nose: A very pleasant aroma with notes offresh blackberries, raspberries, prunes, cinnamon, date pudding, cigars, and leather, layered with bright, syrupy notes of blackberry hard candy and candied lemons.
- Palate: An “explosion of flavors” with pleasant winey tannins, raspberry cordial, maraschino cherry juice, and a subtle vegetal edge. The high ABV is extremely well-integrated, drinking like a much lower-proof spirit.
- Finish: The finish offers a rich, smooth, and dry-sweet meatiness, with notes of coffee liqueur, rum, and cocoa powder, reminiscent of tiramisu.
