This expression utilizes the distillerys renowned wheated mash bill consisting of approximately 70% corn, 16% wheat, and 14% malted barley. The liquid underwent over two decades of maturation, with barrels specifically selected from the lower, cooler floors of the metal-clad warehouses to mitigate the intense wood extraction associated with such extreme age.
This deliberate placement allows for a slow, concentrated development of flavor while preserving the delicate sweetness of the wheat. The resulting profile is exceptionally dense and sophisticated, featuring deep notes of seasoned oak, maple syrup, and dark chocolate, balanced by an elegant finish of leather and dried fruit.
