Description
Transcription of the Old French Noieroie “place planted with walnut trees.” At the time, walnuts were a staple food, planted in many places: walnut trees thrive in limestone soils and are sensitive to humidity.
Puligny-Montrachet Les Nosroyes is produced from a 1.13-hectare plot located at the foot of the slope north of the village, just below the renowned Premier Cru Les Perrires, with well-drained clay-limestone soil. TASTING –
The nose is of pear and precious wood and reveals some aging notes; aeration complements the bouquet with soft spices; the Chardonnay shows its mineral and oriental complexity. On the palate, it is expansive: both rich and lively, the wine is full-bodied and leaves a long trail of white fruits before immersing the palate in a chalky finish. Powerful and complete, this wine is a premier cru that prefers the modesty of the village.
