A vibrant, elegant Syrah from Delas Saint-Joseph Les Challeys cuve, this 2023 bottling shows a deep ruby-red hue, expressive aromatics of red berries (raspberry, strawberry) and blackcurrant, with subtle smoky and candied-orange notes.
On the palate, it offers bright, juicy fruit framed by healthy tannins and a lively, balanced structure. The finish is sleek and moderately dry, carrying good vitality and finesse.
Made from 100% Syrah, the wine is sourced from schist and gneiss soils over granite bedrock on the right bank of the Rhne. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in open concrete vats (2832 C), and matured partially in barrels to add a touch of oak while preserving the pure fruit character.
