Penelope Cigar Series Chapter 1 101 Proof (50.5% ABV) is a limited release American whiskey produced by Penelope Bourbon. This 2025 inaugural expression in the Cigar Sessions series features a complex, three-part blend of straight bourbon, 100% American single malt, and American light whiskey, specifically developed in collaboration with master cigar blenders to complement medium-bodied cigars. The composite mash bill consists of 72% corn, 15% rye, and 13% malted barley.
Aged for a minimum of six years at the MGP Distillery in Indiana, the liquid underwent a non-chill filtered process to maintain its full-bodied texture. This evolutionary process yields a rich and complex profile of milk chocolate, candied apple, and tobacco leaf, balanced by a deep undercurrent of warm caramel and dried peach with a long, toffee-accented finish.
