Distillery Information
Vignobles Rollet is a long-established family wine business on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, known for its red wines made mainly from Merlot. The Rollet family have been vignerons in Saint tienne-de-Lisse, to the southeast of Saint-milion town, for nearly 300 years. Documents dating back to 1729 mention their ownership of Chteau du Vieux-Guinot. In the early 19th century the family purchased Chateau Roc St Michel and in 1955 Jean-Pierre Rollet bought Chteau Fourney all three estates being in St milion. The family’s fourth property, Chteau Grand Tertre in Castillon Ctes de Bordeaux, was purchased in 1985. A year after Jean-Pierre Rollet purchased Chateau Fourney a heavy frost killed all the vines. Jean Pierre had to return to full-time work while the vineyards were replanted and came back into production. Hlne Rollet took over the running of the family estates in 2006.
