Distillery Information

(ben-RIN-is) Benrinnes is the dominating mountain on the southern bank of the Spey, reaching 841m/2,759 feet, with many distilleries drawing water from its streams and springs. One of those distilleries is Benrinnes itself. Originally built in 1826, in 1829 the distillery had to be rebuilt again a few miles away following flooding and woe continued with a serious fire in 1895. After succession of owners the distillery is now in the hands of Diageo. Currently the 15-year-old Flora & Fauna, first released in 1991, is the only core bottling available alongside numerous independent bottler offerings showcasing a fruity Speyside with a characteristic meaty, robust and full bodied style.
