“Royal Brackla’s story starts with Captain William Fraser founding it in 1812, becoming the first Scotch whisky to earn a Royal Warrant from King William IV in 1833, earning the nickname “The King’s Own Whisky,” a status renewed by Queen Victoria. After centuries as a key malt for blends like Dewar’s, it remained under Diageo until acquired by Bacardi in 1998, then launched as a prominent single malt range in 2015, known for its rich, opulent, sherried character from first-fill casks.”
