Description
This renowned rum distillery is located in the Trelawny Parish in the northwest of Jamaica, an area of incredible biodiversity. One of the oldest rum producers in the Caribbean, Hampden Estate has been in continuous operation since its founding in 1753, though it began bottling under its own name in 2018.
Throughout its centuries-old history, the distillery has maintained the same production methods: the use of its own spring water, prolonged fermentation with wild yeasts, tropical ageing, pot still distillation and no added colours or sugar. These long-established techniques give Hampden Estate rums their signature aromatic complexity and high-ester character.
Hampden Estate Rum Fire
Unapologetically funky and highly aromatic, Rum Fire is a unique expression of a Jamaican Overproof Rum that could only come from Hampden Estate.
Released in 2011, Rum fire stays true to the values of this legendary distillery, utilising a long spontaneous fermentation, natural spring water and 100% Pot Still Distillation to create a bold rum with a huge character.
Tasting Notes
Intense, spicy and full of overripe and candied tropical fruit, Rum Fire is the perfect way to add personality and vibrancy to mixed drinks.
