Distillery Information

Founded in the mid-1990s by D-Day veteran Harold Currie, Arran is one of the newer distilleries in Scotland releasing their first bottling of single malt whisky in 1998. The team have been building up a core range as their whisky has matured, most recently adding an 18 year old to join their excellent 10, 12 and 14 year old editions. The distillery also regularly experiments with cask finished and limited editions. In 2016, planning permission granted for the team to commence work on a second distillery named ‘Lagg’, located on the south of the island. Lagg distillery will specialise in peated whiskies, a style Arran have produced off and on since they were founded.
