In Basil Hayden, Booker created the kind of whiskey he loved: spicy yet smooth, rich and sweet, a high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon with a refined flavour profile that rewards a second glass.
The latest permanent release from Basil Hayden uses an entirely new brown rice mash bill and a secondary finish in toasted barrels. The result is a bourbon with less spice, deepened notes of sweet caramel, and a bright, light mouthfeel.
