Released in 2021, Caol Ila 2007 The Culprit is the 7th edition in the Caol Ila Chess Investigation series by Signatory Vintage, a collection of single malt whiskies inspired by a murder mystery theme. Distilled in 2007, matured for 10 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, finished for 4 years in first-fill sherry casks and bottled in 2021. 891 bottles were produced. Bottled at 46%.
