Description
Pure Meunier harvested in 2017 from the plots Les Bazils/Les Plantes and La Vigne Gervais in Troissy on the bank of the Marne river. This is a lovely ripe, fruity and light bodied still red wine that reflects the true nature of the Meunier grape with flavours of cherry, raspberry and violets.

Alexis is the 6th generation of Champagne Xavier Leconte but has chosen to create a stunning side brand, Champagne Alexis. The wines jumped out at us for their complexity, texture and depth. He works mainly with Meunier from Troissy, Dormans, Mareuil-le-Port, Vandires and, importantly, some epic Pinot Noir in A where he creates his stunning cuve: Aegius.
