What can you say? Some may be cynical of some of the glamour and glitz that surrounds Dom Perignon. However Richard Geoffroy, Dom Perignon’s Head Wine Maker, is simply superb at his game. Just about every vintage is awaited with bated breath by the wine industry and accolades for both him and his Champagnes are far too numerous to mention. The Champagne is named after a Benedictine monk who was one of the first to embark on creating Sparkling Wines by blending different grapes together and is romantically thought to have said ‘I am seeing stars’ when he first encountered his new sparkling wine.
