This is a delicious Reposado Mezcal from the Ilegal company. It’s distilled at Destileria Tlacolula in Oaxaca, Mexico, and is double distilled in copper stills. It’s then aged in American oak before bottling. This was awarded a Gold Medal at the Tequila.net Awards.

Product Description
Ilegal Joven Mezcal is one example of the brand?s great drink variety. It is distilled from fermented Espadn agaves. This type of agave is the genetic predecessor of the blue agave, the traditional basis of tequila. In the case of Ilegal Joven, the Espadn agave once again proves its versatility by triggering aromas of citrus, green apple and a hint of white pepper. The drink fires you up pleasantly and can be enjoyed neat as well as in a free-spirited cocktail!
