The Tah Distillery was created in 2021 by two brothers – Andre & Logan Howe. Growing up in New Zealand and now living on the East Coast of Australia. Our intention is to showcase the unique flavours of the south pacific islands and to connect with different people and cultures.
Tah refers to the type of gourd (vessel) traditionally used by Mori and otherPolynesians to carry food and water whether journeying across the ocean or the land. The word hin the Mori languagemeans to taste orbreathe.
