Yuri Masamune “Beautiful Lily” Futsushu

Description

From the brewery known for Yuki no Bosha, Yuri Masamune is one of the few futsushu (“regular” or table sake) on the market that offers quality on par with premium styles (such as honjozo or junmai ginjo). Saiya Shuzo uses a combination of table rice and sake rice to lower the price, along with their immediately recognizable house yeasts (delicate, stonefruit, umami rich), 68% polish rice (which would qualify for premium grade) and unmatched skill. A very moderate use of distilled alcohol gives the sake a silky slip, lightness, and delicate mouthfeel. Much like our favorites Kirinzan Classic and Hakutsuru Toji Kan, there are no corners cut with this affordable futsushu.
