Seelbach’s Notes: Nose is honey sweetened plums and raisin, with beautifully balanced oak in the finish.
Let it rest in the glass for several minutes and it will continue to sweeten, honey turning to maple, confectioners sugar and raspberry. The oak still wonderfully balanced.
The palate is a deeper, more complex version of everything found in the nose. The fruits expand with raspberry and cherry, the oak gets more expansive and leans into touches of leather and tobacco. If one thing I notice its the absence of aggressive spice. Just creamy, complex, and balanced.
The finish is long, semi-dry and trailing with oak and berries.
