Spanish for “rested,” Reposado has earned its name, as it rests in large barrels anywhere from two months to a year during distillation. Because of the long process of deep aging, this brand of tequila has a pleasant sepia-colored hue to it, and just looking at it is enough to make you want to drink!

This Reposado Tequila from Cava de Oro is one of our favorites from this lineup. While the range leans sweet in every profile, this repo has the most balance of agave, and oak. Less heavy on the palate than the popular Extra Aejo from this brand, this is a perfect everyday sipper – though it also makes an incredible Paloma!

Aroma: Cooked agave, caramel, oak

Taste: Cooked agave, vanilla sweetness, mild black pepper, mild alcohol heat, cinnamon

Finish: Smooth and sweet, with toasted oak that rounds it out nicely
