Description
The Color is deep red with dark purple at the edges. The Nose: This is a full and aromatic wine of rustic red and black berries, with hints of dusty cedar, tar, tobacco and crushed rocks. On the palate: This is a big, full bodied wine with lots of tannin, however the tannin is very fine and rounded for a very rich, long fleshy mouth feel. Flavors mimic the nose with big earthy fruit, dry herbs, graphite and blood. 30 Year old vines which produce a low, but flawless hand harvest. 2012 is the current vintage as each bottle spends 5 years in the winemaking process. No pesticides, or weedkillers used. Praesidium falls under the catagory of a true natural wine.
