Nuances de Gres, Bernard Vallette ’17 (Beaujolais, France)

Description

This is a blend of all 8 grapes (white and red) that Bernard grows on his property: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Muscat Ottonel, Marsanne, Roussanne, and direct-press Gamay, aged in amphora with no added sulfur. He Wanted to use some of the older white varieties that have been outlawed by the Beaujolais AOP. Rich and textured with honeycomb and ripe orchard fruit.
