Theres something creamy in the nose. Its a little playful. I kind of like how it plays with the peat. What I love most about the Port Askaig 8 is that its extremely balanced in its approach. If youve never had an Islay scotch, this is a brilliant intro. Not just an acceptable one but a brilliant one. Even the price is approachable.
