Description
Il Marroneto has been established in Brunello di Montalcino since the 1970s. The focus is almost entirely on creating premium Sangiovese wines using traditional methods, such as aging in Salvonian oak barrels: these allow the wines to develop slowly, retaining purity of fruit as they do so. Its Brunello di Montalcino is bold and muscular, thanks to a hot vintage, and combines typical notes of ripe cherry and plum with violet, orange peel, and a savory earthiness.
