Description
This Pinot Noir from Hirsch Vineyards celebrates the influence of the San Andreas fault on these vineyards. This is Hirschs flagship wine, and the one which best represents the complexity of Hirsch Vineyards terroir. This estate spans 72 acres, divided into 67 individual farming blocks that correspond to the dramatic, sudden changes in soil and aspect created by the Fault. As you might expect, this is wonderfully complex. Red cherries, anise, mint, peach and earth combine on the palate, alongside dark chocolate and dried goji berry notes. Theres a long, persistent finish. The density in 2021 makes it one of the finest vintages of this wine to ever be released.
