Fabrizio Dionisio is THE guy to see about Italian Syrah and has been a natural wine pioneer in Cortona since the 90s. This one is made partial whole cluster in a mix of terracotta and concrete tanks. Classic and brooding with dark purple fruit, spice and violets. Decant this while you’re cooking something meaty with lots of black pepper and fight the urge to compare it to some northern Rhone favorites.
