Raetinello Vernatsch, Loacker 2018 (Alto Adige, Italy)

Description

100% Vernatsch aka Schiava from 3 biodynamic vineyards planted in ’65, ’67 and ’80 1500 feet up in the Dolomite mountains above Bolzano in Alto Adige. Fermented and aged all in steel and bottled with minimal sulfur added. Unmistakable Alpine, light in color and almost weightless, but still complex with wild berries and pine needles. Throw this in the fridge and treat it like a heavy rose.
