Description
Baron de Sigognac 10 year old Bas Armagnac is a blend of Armagnacs of which the youngest in the blend is 10 years old. There is one short column still at the Domaine (almost 100 years old), which produces up to 50 to 60 casks of new spirit annually. Once distilled the spirit is aged in oak barrels where it gets its colour and vanilla notes from the toasted oak. With prunes, figs, cinnamon, and nutmeg running through it, with a marzipan and hazelnut finish, this is a great introduction to the beauties of Armagnac.
