Producer Information
Domaine de la Mordore is a French wine producer based in the in the southern Rhne Valley appellation of Tavel. The domaine is best known for its dry ros and red blends from Rhne varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Mourvdre. The first wines from the estate were produced in 1986 by brothers Christophe and Fabrice Delorme, who named the domaine after a local nickname for the woodcock. Soon after, in 1989, a three-hectare (seven acre) plot in Chteauneuf-du-Pape was acquired and remains is the source of the estate’s premier wine: Cuve de la Reine des Bois. This wine is only produced in exceptional vintages.
