One of the cooler vineyard lots on the estate. This site has steep slopes with thin soils providing excellent drainage. A preponderance of ballast in the upper layers supports this healthy natural occurrence. This elegant Single Vineyard Tannat is full-bodied with flavors of cherries, strawberries, plums, tobacco, and dark chocolate tinged with espresso. Aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak Foudres. Pairs nicely with all cuts of beef, lamb or game. Also excellent with grilled root vegetables and hearty soups.
