Blackberry, blackcurrant and plum. Powerful and refined. A cool 2023 vintage delivered wines of impressive depth and elegance across the Yarra Valley. Mild days and a long, even ripening season allowed fruit to develop full flavour and supple tannins while retaining vibrant natural acidity.
Sourced entirely from the Napoleone Vineyard, this Cabernet Sauvignon (SA125 clone) was whole-berry fermented under temperature control, with gentle pump-overs to build fine structure. Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (25% new), it shows lifted aromatics, dark fruit and a measured oak presence a graceful, age-worthy expression of Coldstream Cabernet.
