Description
Aberfeldy 16 is finished in oloroso sherry casks, imparting decadent layers of juicy sweetness, spiced fruitcake, and dark chocolate to the whisky.
First planned in 1896 by John Dewar’s sons, Aberfeldy Distillery is the only Scotch whisky distillery built by the Dewar family.
Nose: Raisins, cinnamon, butterscotch, caramel and dried apple.
Palate: Rounded and soft. Apple drizzled with honey on the front palate. Pears in dark chocolate sauce, along with orange segments on the back palate.
Finish: Long-ish, with ginger, orange zest, and a whisper of smoke.
