Ardnamurchan Rum Cask 2023 Release is a Highland single malt whisky produced at the Ardnamurchan Distillery in Scotland. This 2023 release was matured in 28 ex-Bourbon barrels, then finished for two-and-a-half years in Jamaican rum casks before being married with three other ex-Bourbon barrels. This whisky was bottled at a cask strength of 55%.

Distillery Information

One of the newest distilleries in Scotland, owned by Adelphi – famous for their excellent range of independently bottled whiskies. Ardnamurchan is a modern distillery in every sense – power comes in part from a hydro-electric generator, hot water is provided via a biomass boiler while any waste products from the distillery is either converted into animal feed or crop fertiliser. The team produce both peated and unpeated whiskies, initially focussing on a highly successful run of limited edition bottlings while a core range is developed. The distillery manager is Fraser Hughes, formally of Bowmore.
