Bain’s 18 Year Old PX Finish

Description

Launched in 2019 for duty-free as part of a trio of sherry cask-finished whiskies, the other two being Bain’s 18 Year Old Fino Finish and Bain’s 18 Year Old Oloroso Finish. The whisky started its life as the standard Bains Cape Mountain Whisky and spent an additional 10 years maturing in American oak before being finished individually for three years in Pedro Ximnez sherry casks. Bottled at 50.5%. (Bottle size 1 litre)

Nose:Big and full-bodied with sweet notes of raisins, figs and dates.

Palate: Velvety smooth with a syrupy mouth-feel, hints of honey and candied fruit and a well-balanced sweetness.

Finish: The finish is warm with a long, silky-smooth ending.
