Blood Oath Pact No. 11 is the 2025 annual release in the celebrated Blood Oath series from Lux Row Distillers, and represents a significant leap in both finish and format from previous pacts. Pact No. 11 is finished in Aejo Tequila barrels sourced from the mountains of Jalisco, bringing an agave-driven complexity, a distinctive blue agave and citrus character, and a warmth of vanilla and black pepper that layers across a masterful union of well-aged Kentucky straight bourbons. The label confirms the character directly: “It begins with the warmth of vanilla and black pepper, sweetly infused with agave and oak. Notes of cherry and citrus subtly emerge, guiding towards a velvety finish highlighted by black cherry and chocolate.” As with every Blood Oath Pact, the label declares: “This rare Pact shall never again be made.” Pact No. 11 is presented in a premium natural wood crate laser-engraved with “Blood Oath / Pact No. 11 / 2025 / MMXXV” a significant packaging upgrade from previous pacts’ individual box presentations and signed by master distiller John E. Color: Deep rich amber with warm mahogany tones from the aejo tequila barrel finish

Nose: Warm vanilla and black pepper lead, with blue agave sweetness, oak, and a subtle citrus brightness from the Jalisco barrel character. Inviting and complex.

Palate: Velvety and layered, with sweet agave, vanilla, cherry, citrus, and a dark chocolate richness that builds through the midpalate. The tequila barrel finish is clearly present without dominating it complements and elevates rather than overwriting the bourbon foundation.

Finish: Long and velvety, with black cherry, dark chocolate, agave warmth, and a lingering oak spice confirmed directly by the label notes.

Each annual Blood Oath Pact uses a different finishing cask. Pact No. 11 is finished in Aejo Tequila barrels from Jalisco, making it the most agave-forward pact in the series.
