Bologne Millesime 2014 Les Exclusifs 100% Canne Noir | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose is at first glance empyreumatic with Turkish coffee and touches of fresh leather.
Palate: This vintage is characterful, very pastry-like with notes of cocoa, walnut hulls and candied pineapple, all melted into a complex rancio.
Finish: The finish is very regressive thanks to the indulgence of a salted butter caramel melted in flavors of liquorice, tarte tatin and honey.
Distillery Information
The Bologne distillery got its name from the 17th and 18th century owners of the sugar refinery. The De Bolognes were a Protestant family from the Dauphin region of France, who had migrated to Holland. From 1580 onwards, certain members of the family settled in Brazil, when it was declared a Dutch colony.
