Description
Australian Tawny is a blend of numerous vintages of Tawny fortified wine, each aged in large old oak vats. The artful combination of mature and younger wines results in a harmonious balance of flavors, while the maturation in wood imparts a heightened richness and intensity to the wine. Through extended aging in oak barrels, the sweetness of the Tawny is elegantly counterbalanced by the drying sensations, adding depth and complexity. This intricate blend beautifully showcases the richness of Shiraz and the softness of Grenache, accompanied by carefully integrated quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Mataro, and other select varieties.
Nose – Delicious aromas of spicy fruit cake and raisins are immediate on the nose.
Palate – This fortified is luscious and intense with caramel and aged rancio flavours a direct result of blending mature and younger wines.
