Product Description
Octomore 16.2 takes the same peated backbone as .1 (101.4 ppm, Concerto barley, 5 years), but sends it on a flavour adventure with casks. It starts in Oloroso & Bordeaux wine barrels, then finishes in Madeira & Moscatel casks. ABV is 58.1%. The result? Sweet smoke meets roasted nuts, dried fruits, caramelised sugarand that campfire glow under it all. Its the one you pull out when you want something smoky and indulgently fruity. Great neat, but plays nicely in a bold whisky cocktail too.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Warm roasted nuts, dried fruit, sugar, caramel. Smoke curls in the background.Palate: Rich fruit cakes, raisins, stewed berries, burnt sugar, and that superpeaty smoke balancing sweetness.Finish: Sweet smoke lingers, with a touch of oak spice and fruit peel offering a gentle zing.
