Celia Welchis one of North America’s most significant winemakers and believes wine should speak to the unique qualities andcharacteristics of the vineyard. Her exceptionally talented hand has produced some of the most notable Cabernet Sauvignons to come outof the Napa Valley, includingScarecrow, Staglin, Keever, Barbour, Lindstrom, and her own Corra label.Celia has crafted every Castiel vintage since the inaugural 2014. Castiel Estate is her only Howell Mountain based client.

Terrific notes of currants, dark chocolate, leather, and leafy herbs all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it shows ripe tannins, beautiful balance, and classic tobacco notes. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon spent 22 months in 70% new oak and will evolve nicely for 12-15 years.
