Taste
This world-renowned ros pours with a signature pale pink apricot hue that is strikingly clear and elegant. On the nose, it offers a delicate and fresh bouquet of red berries, sliced apple, and pink grapefruit, layered with subtle floral notes of rosehip and lavender. The palate is lush and medium-bodied, achieving a perfect “bone dry” profile that balances crisp acidity with a smooth, creamy texture. The finish is long and clean, leaving a refreshing mineral impression and a lingering hint of white peach. Best enjoyed well-chilled as an aperitif or paired with light Mediterranean cuisine, grilled seafood, and summer salads.
History
Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel is the global benchmark for Provence ros and the wine credited with igniting the “Ros Renaissance.” Acquired in 2006 by Sacha Lichineson of the legendary “Pope of Wine” Alexis Lichinethe estate set out to create the greatest ross in the world by introducing innovative winemaking techniques to the region. The name “Whispering Angel” was inspired by two 19th-century cherubs carved into the walls of the Chateau’s chapel, where Sacha famously noted that if you drink the wine, you might hear them whisper. Today, under the majority ownership of LVMH, Whispering Angel remains the worlds most celebrated and in-demand ros, representing the ultimate lifestyle of the French Riviera.
