Compass Box The Last Vatted Malt is a historic release marking the end of an era in Scotch whisky terminology. Bottled just before the Scotch Whisky Regulations of 2009 came into effect, this expression is the last to be legally labeled as a “Vatted Malt,” a term now replaced by “Blended Malt.” This whisky is a blend of 78% 26-year-old Caol Ila whisky matured in American oak hogsheads and 22% 36-year-old Glenallachie whisky aged in a first-fill sherry butt.
