Sanboin, the special head temple on Mt Koya charged with arranging sake for the rituals on this Shingon Buddhist temple mountain, has assigned the momentous task of brewing the temples sake to the Daishichi Sake Brewery. Kikyo is one of the most luxurious single-vintage sakes used at official events of the temples on Mt Koya.
A powerful, umami-rich sake of the highest quality, which is extremely sophisticated and yet has wild charms. Tastes better after resting hint of sandalwood and muscat on the nose, Buttery, light yet complex flavours.
