Trapet farms .7 hectares of Auxerois vines in the village of Riquewihr.SOILVarious soils exist in the estate. On the uppermost slopes, brown chalky argillaceous soils on Oligocene calcareous clay can be found alongside compact Lias soils.Auxerrois is an important grape in Alsace, and is also grown in Germany and Luxembourg. It is a full sibling of Chardonnay.

- Andre Trapet, wife of Jean-Louis Trapet of famed Domaine Trapet Pre & Fils in Gevrey Chambertin, runs the estate with the help of her husband and their two sons Pierre and Louis.
- Andre seeks to make a drier style of wine with aromatic intrigue and pure terroir expression.
