Don Pilar El Secreto Extra Aejo Tequila is a luxurious, deeply matured expression that showcases the profound richness achievable when fine tequila is aged well beyond the traditional timeframe. Velvety, complex, and intensely aromatic, it delivers layers of caramel, dark chocolate, oak spice, and cooked agavemaking it a contemplative sipping tequila designed for slow enjoyment and special occasions.

Don Pilar El Secreto is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, made from100% Blue Weber agave grown in the regions volcanic soils. The agave is harvested at full maturity and processed through traditional tequila production methods including cooking, fermentation, and double distillation to preserve the spirits agave character before aging.

As an Extra Aejo tequila, the spirit is matured for more than three years in oak barrels, the classification required for this elite category. The aging process allows the tequila to absorb complex compounds from the wood while gradually oxidizing and integrating flavors.

Don Pilars expression is aged in a combination of French oak and American white oak barrels, including both new and previously used casks. This extended maturation gives the tequila its deep amber color and layered flavor profilemelding the sweetness of cooked agave with the warmth of oak-derived spice and dessert-like richness.

Nose:Rich and inviting with aromas of toasted oak, caramel, vanilla, and dried fruit, supported by hints of butterscotch and cooked agave sweetness.
