El Tesoro Extra Aejo Tequila is crafted in the highlands of Jalisco at the La Altea distillery using estate-grown 100% Blue Weber agave. The agave plants are harvested at full maturity, oven-cooked in traditional hornos, crushed with a tahona stone, fermented and double-distilled. The spirit then matures for four to five years in American ex-bourbon oak barrels. This extended aging deepens the tequilas complexity while still preserving the agaves signature character.
