Rosado 2020$30 Pandemic aside, 2020 was a tough year for Joan with lots of rain early on in the spring. This meant that he couldn’t make his Nas del Gegant red and all of the grapes went into this rosado, which is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Garnatxa, Merlot and Samso direct press all in steel. Smokey fruit punch with crushed flowers and a lip smacking finish, perfect for stoop drinking.
Els Bassots 2021 $43Chenin Blanc from Conca de Barbera that spends 15 days on the skins, then 6 months in amphora and bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added. Textured and round with white flowers, baked citrus and crushed apple. Always a treat. Get it while you can.
Coll del Sabater 2021 $43When we think ofEscoda, this is the wine that comes to mind first.100% Cabernet Franc fermented and aged in amphora. Medium bodied with beautiful plum fruit and aplush, velvety finish. Get it while you can.
