Giffards Creme de Fraise des Bois smells of jammy red berry fruit with hints of watermelon. The tart, intense strawberry flavor comes through on the palate, where it is tempered by refreshing acidity. The Fraise des Bois is made by macerating the tiny strawberries that grow wild in the French countryside as well as the larger and sweeter Senga-Sengana strawberries. The combination of the two types of strawberries give this liqueur a complex flavor.
