Description
In 1997, when Jeffersons was first starting out, we found a 15-year-old bourbon that we immediately knew was rich, complex and needed to be brought to market. It was in 2003 that we decided to bring in other bourbons to marry with the original Jeffersons Reserve. Similar to Jeffersons, we still use over 50% of that mash bill and add up to 3 more bourbons to create more flavourand complexities. Jeffersons Reserve is a big, sophisticated bourbon that has a lot of flavourup front, a lot of weight mid palate and a deep, wonderful finish.
Nose: Almonds & Honey with a hint of caramelized ginger, menthol and Big Red chewing gum.
Palate: A rounded vanilla note is the first element, backed up by over ripe plums, jelly and light liquoricenotes.
Finish: Vanilla forward, followed by a hint of burnt ends and the grape note again. A touch of root beer at the end.
