La Araucaria Tinto, Dolores Cabrera Fernandez 2017 (Canary Islands, Spain)

Description

All Listan Negro from Dolores Cabrera, a farmer/winemaker from Tenerife. Vines average around 100 years old, and unlike many of the Canary Island offerings, are from lower altitude sites, mostly on iron-rich red clay terroir. Light-to-medium bodied, with ripe red and purple fruit with a peppery, finessed finish. Almost like a high altitude, island cab franc. Unique and delicious.
