Description

Condes de Albarei was established in 1988 by a group of growers from the Salns Valley, who were focused on top-quality Albario wines.

Salns Valley is one of the five sub-zones of Rias Baixas and has the DO’s greatest area of vines. It has an Atlantic climate and high rainfall, with poor sandy soils that are ideal for cultivating Albario. The winery is situated within 1 km of the coast.

Vineyards

The grapes are sourced from pergola-trained Albario vines, cultivated in sandy soils in the Salns Valley. They are selected in the vineyard and hand-harvested into 20kg crates, then further sorted at the winery.

Vinification

The destemmed grapes are pressed, and fermentation takes place for around 15 days at 16-18C using wild yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation occurs, again with naturally-occurring yeasts.

Tasting Notes

Bright and refreshing Albario from this estate in Salns Valley, Rias Baixas.

A fresh and bright Albario with notes of stone fruit and orange blossom. Peach fruit with lightly tropical notes and mouth-watering citrus zest character on the palate, dry and crisp on the finish.

A perfect match for all sorts of seafood and grilled vegetable dishes.
