Description
La Venenosa Etnica Tutsi Maguey Masparillo is an exceptionally rare agave spirit rooted in the traditions of the Huichol people of northwest Jalisco. Created as part of La Venenosas Etnica line, it helps bring indigenous agave spirits to a wider audience while honoring the local name, Tutsi, used in its place of origin. Lost for roughly 25 years, this spirit now survives through just one practicing producer, with only two or three 45-liter batches made each year. Crafted from 100% wild maguey Masparillo, the agave is roasted in an underground wood-fired oven, milled by hand with mallets, naturally fermented in a rock pit, and single distilled in a traditional Huichol still. The result is a deeply layered spirit with woodsy character, bright citrus, and a striking mineral edgean expressive bottle for collectors and drinkers drawn to heritage, rarity, and unmistakable sense of place.
